Downloading Cydia apps from PC

In some cases, people would like to download programs from the PC, because of speed and efficiency. If you want to download a tweak or a simple theme. It doesn't matter. Down below is a tutorial.

I am using font downloading as an example:

In my recent post about how to get diverse and interesting fonts on your iDevice, then you sometimes want to have all the different fonts that's possible to have so you can choose them when you are offline with your iDevice.
This would be a very slow and frustration process, but luckily people has made a Program for Windows, were you can download apps right onto your PC.
If you are thinking over, on how to transfer this over to your iDevice. I will come to this later(very easy)

Things you need:
Jailbroken iDevice Ofcourse
Cyder 2: Link: http://www.multiupload.com/6S9NQCCOKS

How to:

Step 1. Connect your iPod Touch to your PC.
Step 2. Download and run Cyder 2.
Step 3. When Cyder 2 Opens, Click on get sources from Cydia. This could take up to a minute.
Step 4. From here you can choose the packages you would like to download.
Step 5. Since I am using Font downloading as an example, I'm going to explain a little more.
You then choose all the different fonts you would like, this will be much more efficient and faster since you just can press F2 on the keyboard and it's prepared.
Step 6. When you've chosen your fonts you'd like, navigate to  Downloads in the top left corner, and click on the green triangle. The fonts or the apps you would like is going to download.
Step 7. Now if you want to transfer these Fonts or apps you have installed, you simply go to file manager on the top of Cyder 2, and choose "Cydia AutoInstall and from the left box with cydia caches you transfer them over.
Step 8. Now you just reboot your iDevice and all of those apps or fonts or tweaks or whatever you want, has been installed.

Done!

New and Miscellaneous Fonts to get on your iDevice

Have you ever wanted to change the font that your iPod Touch is using the whole time, to a new and different one. If your reasons are that they're boring or that you want something new and different, then keep on reading.

BytaFont is a nice and free software that can be downloaded from Cydia, it's IOS4 compatible, and has very many different fonts to choose from.

This is another of those short tutorials when it's not at all necessary to make a guide.

You start with opening up Cydia and going to the search tab. From there you search for BytaFont and download it. The rest of the steps are also very simple. You goto Cydia and download fonts from there. Then you install your desired font and then you go back to BytaFont and choose the font that you just downloaded from Cydia.

Walt Disney Font, as an example:

By the way, there exists another font application that can be downloaded from Cydia. It's also free, but this app is likely more knows, and maybe some people prefer this program more then, the one I wrote about. It's name is FontSwap and can be installed from Cydia without any special configurations.

How to save your SHSH Blob for later downgrade without PC

This is actually a fairly simple process, it's not to complicated and I expect everyone to be able to do it.
SHSH stands for "Signature HaSH", and is very important if you want to downgrade to another firmware, below the one you have.

If Apple has stopped signing older firmware, and you have your SHSH, then you will be able to downgrade you iPod without.
And ofcourse, your iPod Touch/iPhone or iPad must be jailbroken

It want be necessary to write a guide, that why I have decided just to tell it short and simple. Where to get the program and what the name of it is.

You simply open up Cydia, choose the search tab, and search for a program called, iSHSH.
When you have downloaded the program. You just open it and choose your model and the firmwares you want to make SHSH backup of. Then you just choose save and it will do it's thing.
Then to be to able save it securely, select manage SHSH, and from there you can send these SHSH(Signature HaSHes) to your self, by email.
